This pathway will lead you through the main celebrations and how they gave form to the competition for mastery over overlapping zones of sacred and profane, through which the local actors reinforced the boundaries between Taiwanese and Japanese identities and social groups.
This map shows the temples that engaged, or were implicated, in this particular struggle over sacred and profane spaces.
